Dudley Canal Trust are awarded the 2009 SILVER AWARD in the Large Visitor attraction section at the Black Country Hotel and Tourism Awards.


A Trust spokesperson said "we are delighted for all our staff with the Silver Award as they have all worked so hard.  It is our first year in the Large Tourist Attraction category as we have previously won Gold in the Small Visitor Attraction so our staff are really pleased."

The glittering, Mardi Gras themed awards ceremony saw more than 200 tourism personnel from across the region converge on the Copthorne Hotel, Merry Hill for the black tie event.
