Please note that normally, boats run hourly, on the hour.
However, at busy periods we operate at 30 or 15 minute intervals throughout the day. Under three's free.

This tour gives you the opportunity to travel the full 2888m length of the mighty Dudley Tunnel. You?ll get the chance to experience the traditional art of ?legging? ? where boats were propelled through the tunnels using ?leg power?.
It also includes a comprehensive tour of the remarkable Limestone Mines and Caverns, taking in all the elements featured in our 45 minute trips outlined above, including:-
- an entertaining video show in Little Tess Cavern explaining how the limestone was originally formed and emerged from the earth?s crust
- fascinating details about how the fossilised remains of small creatures and plants which are now clearly visible in Castle Mill?s coral reef once lay under the sea bed
- lifelike reconstructions in Hurst Cavern - with mannequins depicting how miners worked in the tunnels during the 18th century.

The 2 hour through tunnel trips usually run once a month, apart from January, November and December.

2 tunnels & 2 locks tours
Embark on this spectacular 6 hour voyage and you?ll enjoy a fascinating tour right through the heart of the Black Country, taking in both the Dudley and Netherton Tunnels.
The boat travels down the striking flight of locks at the Parkhead Conservation Area along the Dudley No 2 canal before arriving at Bumble Hole Conservation Area and the impressive and historic Cobbs Engine House.
Following a 30 minute refreshment stop, the journey continues through Netherton Tunnel and up the flight of Factory Locks on the Birmingham to Wolverhampton main line before returning to the towpath at Dudley.
It?s an incredible odyssey right through the Black Country, introducing visitors to the area?s magnificent feats of waterway engineering, enticing natural beauty and its historic industrial landscape.
The 6 hour 2 Tunnels & 2 Locks Tour tunnel trips usually operate during the summer months.

Visiting our local Marinas
Our scenic open canal trip commences from the Merry Hill Marina to Bumble Hole Netherton, with a return by coach. A 3 hour trip with a choice of a 10am or 11am start.
You will travel down the Dudley No.1 and No.2 canal passing Netherton Marina before entering the conservation area where Cobbs Engine House can be seen.
Light refreshments available for sales on the boat.
Fish and Chip Lunch/Supper can be incorporated at a cost of £4.50 per person.
No dogs except guide dogs on site.

A scenic round trip
Visiting our local area
Our scenic open canal trip commences from the Merry Hill Marina to Bumble Hole Netherton, with a 30 minute stopover to visit the tea room. Stay on the boat for the return journey to the Merry Hill Marina. A 6 hour trip total with a 9 or 10am start.
You will travel down the Dudley No.1 and No.2 canal passing Netherton Marina before entering the conservation area where Cobbs Engine House can be seen.
Light refreshments available for sales on the boat.
Fish and Chip Lunch/Supper can be incorporated at a cost of £4.50 per person.
No dogs except guide dogs on site.

Discover Netherton
through the locks & aqueduct
A journey from Tipton to Bumble Hole including the Netherton Tunnel with a 30 minute stopover at the tea room, before continuing to Parkhead, with a return by coach.
Travel down the flight of factory locks along the Birmingham Main Line, over the aqueduct taking in the Netherton Tunnel and a chance for welcome refreshments available at the Bumble Hole Tea Room before the coach journey home.
Light refreshments available for sales on the boat.
