Explore the history of the waterways, the lives of the working boat families, the science of boats, what lives on the waterways and more with these worksheets and activities, great for home-learning or your own exploration of the canal network in your area.

Have a go at these fun games and activities, great for encouraging your family to get moving! 

Animal Actions - make our creature decision dice then have a go at acting like the animals you roll. Discover some fun facts about the animals that live in, on and around the waterways as you play!

Canal Colour Hunt - the waterways are full of vibrant colours. In this activity, challenge your family to identify them and find something of the same colour in your own house or garden! 

Garden Scavenger Hunt - your garden is full of lots of interesting things! Use our scavenger hunt grid on your own or with the rest of your family to get outside and get exploring.

Wonderful Water

Water is all around us - it's in our bodies, in the air that we breathe and covers over 70% of the Earth's surface! There's a lot of exploring you can do with water; discover some fun activities great for the garden or brilliant for the bathroom.
