Our staff, visitors, partners and neighbours safety continues to be of paramount importance to us. In line with latest government advice and legislation we have adapted our approach to continue to make our site and trips a great place to visit.

See here for full details of everything we have in place. covid safety

From 18th September 2020 we will add the following precautions.

  • We will observe the rule of 6 so will not accept bookings for more than this in the Gongoozler Coffee Shop.

From 24th September2020 we have added the following precautions.

  • Our NHS Track and Trace QR code is displayed across the site. Please use this every time you visit us, even if it is just dropping in for a coffee.
  • If you have not downloaded the app to your phone, fill in one of our cards and drop it in the boxes located around the site. If you have booked online for a trip - you don't need to anything we have your details.
  • Service for "eat in" food and drink in the Gongoozler Coffee Shop will be table service only. For takeaway please queue as advised.
  • All our staff will wear face masks or visors when in public areas, except when seated for eating or drinking.
  • Visitors will be required to wear facemasks whilst inside our venue and loading and unloading on the boats.
  • Exemptions - if you are exempt from wearing a mask, though you do not need to legally prove this, it would help us if you had a template, either a badge, lanyard or statement on your phone. These can be downloaded from the government website. Exemption Templates We understand if you do not want to do this but we ask you to be patient with our team when you are asked, they are doing what is required to keep us all safe.

From 12 April 2021 we have added the following precautions.

  • All staff undertake lateral flow tests prior to coming into work.
  • Order at table and outdoor dining only offered.
  • Open water trips only offered as the caverns are classed as an indoor venue.

Since we reopened on 10th July, 7,000 passengers have taken trips with us through the tunnels and caverns and feedback is that all our safety precautions have been well received and ensured everyone felt confident and happy with their day out.
